Abstract:
The purpose of this report is to synthesize the results
of a stocktaking exercise on ICT indicators undertaken
by the Partnership. On behalf of the partnership, the
UN Regional Commissions and UNCTAD, sent a questionnaire on the status of ICT indicators to
179 countries. The questionnaire aimed to take stock
of the status of official Information Society statistics in developing countries. The results are presented by region, together with two chapters on global issues concerning household and business ICT indicators (these chapters also include information on the availability of ICT indicators in OECD countries).
