Richar Heeks is an Associate Professor in Information Systems and Development. He works at Manchester University in the Institute for Development Policy and Management. He trains managers and other professionals from developing and transitional economies on a range of information systems, information society, and enterprise development topics. He manages an active PhD program on ICTs and development. He has undertaken consultancy for a range of donors and developing country governments, and he manages a series of commissioned research projects on information, technology and development.
