AnnaLee Saxenian is Dean and Professor in the School of Information Management and Systems (SIMS) and Professor in the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of California, Berkeley. She is an internationally recognized expert on economic development in information technology; and she has written extensively on the social and economic organization of production in technology regions like Silicon Valley.
